Where this comes from

Unproven kinship

DOCUMENTED, SURVIVED, DEATH NOT FOUND. The Bundesarchiv Residents' List (ID 1166673) enters Elisabeth Weiler née Leipholz, born 1 January 1891 at Neustettin in Pomerania, of Berlin, persecuted on racial grounds, emigrated to Palestine; she is not in the Gedenkbuch because she survived. Mapping the Lives gives Berlin as the birthplace. A first of January is the commonest placeholder for a year known without a day, so only the year is taken. NOT PROVED KIN: the first person the eighth spelling of the surname produced. Born 1891, so not living by the estate's rule on the date alone.
